HKT and YuShu Technology enter collaboration to drive enterprise adoption of physical AI technologies

HKT (SEHK: 6823) – HONG KONG, 5 February 2026 – HKT today announced a collaboration with YuShu Technology, a renowned Chinese Mainland robotics company and one of Hangzhou’s “Six Little Dragons”. The two companies will promote the adoption of physical AI and related innovative technologies among local and global enterprises, accelerating their digital transformation.

The collaboration brings together HKT’s strengths in fixed and 5G mobile network infrastructure, global networks, system integration and managed services, with YuShu Technology’s expertise in the R&D and manufacturing of quadruped and humanoid robots, delivering one-stop physical AI solutions, covering installation, training, technical support and maintenance, for Hong Kong enterprises.

Steve Ng, Managing Director of Commercial Group, HKT, said, “Physical AI integrates generative AI, robotics and sensing technologies to significantly enhance robots’ ability to perceive and interpret their surroundings, equipping them to carry out increasingly sophisticated tasks. Through our collaboration with YuShu Technology, we look forward to developing leading, high-performance physical AI solutions for Hong Kong enterprises, supporting the digital transformation of government, public sector organisations and various industries, while boosting operational efficiency. Concurrently, we will continue to expand our innovation technology partner network, build a robust partner ecosystem, and help Hong Kong advance towards becoming a smart city, while jointly exploring overseas markets with our partners.”

HKT and YuShu Technology have already successfully deployed physical AI solutions across various sectors, including:

  • Construction: A quadruped robotic dog integrated with visual AI has been deployed at a leading concrete and aggregates total solutions provider in Hong Kong. Featuring high agility, stability and advanced sensitive detection capabilities, the robot can patrol and conduct safety inspections on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, such as the use of personal protective equipment. It detects anomalies in real time, and promptly identifies and mitigates potential risks, and thereby significantly enhancing onsite worker safety.

  • Education: Embodied AI has been introduced at a secondary school in Hong Kong. The school has incorporated embodied AI into its curriculum, enabling students to learn programming, motion control and sensor-based interaction through classroom projects and campus activities. This approach inspires creativity, fosters interest in AI and automation, and enriches the learning experience. The embodied AI is also integrated into language classes to assist students with second-language learning.

The two parties are also actively exploring the deployment of physical AI and generative AI technologies in large campuses and venues, including the use of smart patrol robots to enhance safety monitoring, operational efficiency and visitor experience in high-traffic environments. In addition, they will foster AI in education while jointly developing more physical AI and generative AI applications to promote wider adoption of innovative technologies.
