About the HKT Startup Ecosystem

The HKT Startup Ecosystem aims to empower and collaborate with startups to help them achieve success through a vibrant ecosystem that includes multiple HKT business units. Our aim is to leverage emerging technologies to better serve Hong Kong & China’s enterprises and the public sector as well as co-building a smarter city. 

Over the past two years, HKT has already engaged over 60 tech startups to deploy project successfully in the market and explore opportunities for them.

The HKT Startup Ecosystem has already provided a wide variety of support for a number of successful startups such as SOCIF, Sensetime, Rice Robotics, FIGHT4DREAM LIMITED and Blue Pins (HK) Limited

Smart Mobility Startup – the SOCIF story

HKT empowered SOCIF to get a HK$65 million contract from the Transport Department for a real-time arrival information system for green minibus (GMB) to uplift smart mobility in Hong Kong.

HKT’s 5G network enabled FIGHT4DREAM to develop an Indoor Navigation App

This app leverages HKT’s low latency, high-bandwidth 5G networks to enable field operation teams to quickly navigate in unfamiliar indoor locations where GPS signals don’t work.
