HKT x KLOOK SD-WAN solution saves 40% network cost︱HKT

KLOOK, a leading global travel and booking platform that covers 300 international destinations, provides a booking service featuring 100,000-plus local itineraries and travel services. These include spot ticket booking, one-day trip planning, local transport arrangements and cuisine recommendations and a special journey facility.

The company grants convenience to users by making bookings for events, confirming tickets electronically and offering other excellent services via a website and app.

KLOOK was seeking to expanding global coverage, so required a premium network capability made available throughout sufficient resources overseas – all with a view to improving on an existing provider’s bandwidth service, via which to run online systems.

After studying KLOOK’s existing network structure and business development requirements, HKT Enterprise Solutions designed an integrated SD-WAN solution to serve office locations in mainland China and Hong Kong. The project  comprised installation of customer premises equipment, abundant bandwidth made available on HKT’s backbone networks and network resource in Hong Kong, so the company could access overseas sites with ease.

The integrated SD-WAN solution now enables KLOOK to identify flows of applications spontaneously, while benefitting from performance management of automation and wide-area network optimization – all to enhance the overall user experience between mainland China and other locations.
